Flint Ridge Chalcedony Hopewell |
Size: 2 9/16" long x 1 1/8" wide
Provenance: Crooksville, Ohio. I have labeled piece since I pictured it.
Condition: Super. This is one slick Hopewell. Only a step down from Moss Agate, this piece is highly patinated. Most of the time, the Flint Ridge Chalcedony is a pinkish color with little white blobs. This one is much darker. Highly translucent, and still very deadly. I consider this a very good buy at the price.
Price: $100 |

Crooksville, Ohio Bifurcates |
Size: Longest piece Top Right is a hair shy of 1 3/4" long.
Provenance: Crooksville, Ohio.
Condition: Varies. I arranged them with the best on the top row, and the bottom row with the lesser examples. Two on top row are extremely fine. Pictures does not do a good job on the upper right piece. It is superior. Bottom middle is Flint Ridge.

Summit County Flint Ridge Side Notch |
Size: 1 7/8" long x 13/16" wide
Provenance: Summit County, Ohio.
Condition: Super. This is one of the rare two-side patina pieces. Other side looks completely different. Collectors love to see this look, and it makes the point even more desirable. Ask me for a pic of backside.

Size: 3 1/4" long x 1 5/16" wide
Provenance: Found by Harvey Bird on May 22, 1919 on his farm located 2 miles South of Kokomo, Indiana
Condition: Super. This is a very large Table Rock. It is made from a high quality "waxy" banded material. It is nearly perfect with a well ground base. A superior example. I bought it right, so I will pass along right.
Price: $125. |

Paleo? Reamer |
Size: 2 15/16" long x 1 3/16" wide
Provenance: Butler County, Ohio. Comes with Jeff Baker COA(g-7.5) stating piece is a Cobbs Drill. You can COA if you want it.
Condition: Excellent. I disagree with Baker over the typology, b/c I feel the flaking and resharpening point to an earlier time period. Baker states material is nodular chert, but it is Carter Cave. I really like the piece, and think the price is right.

Curved Uniface Knife |
Size: 3 3/8" long x 1 5/8" wide.
Provenance: Southern Indiana.
Condition: Excellent. This piece fits in my hand so well I started to think the person who made had the same size hands. It also gives off the feel of a powerful tool still able to butcher game. Super "blobby" patinated Hornstone material.

Hornstone Lance |
Size: 3 1/2" long
Provenance: Found by Randy Kauth in Hamilton County Ohio.
Condition: Excellent. I have had several pieces of similar form and I class them as Late-Paleo. This one exhibits an almost unseen stem and side grinding. Nice old piece for the money.

Hopewell |
Size: 3 3/8" long

Two-Tone Coshocton Dovetail |
Size: 5 5/8" long
Provenance: Clark County, Ohio. Purchased by a good friend of mine in the late 1980's at a farm sale. He had the piece restored by renowned restorer Jim Beckman of Dayton, Ohio.
Condition: Restored Base. I don't I have ever seen such a stark contract in Coshocton flint. I have seen many pieces made from both colors, but never on the same piece. Obviously special to the early archaic knapper who made this whopper dove. Buy a real one with some restoration and save your money from the freshly made coa'd junk on the market today.

Bifurcated Pinetree |
Size: 2" long
Provenance: No find information. My guess is North to Central Kentucky. X: McElvoy.
Condition: Super. You don't see many bifurcated pinetrees. Super Archaic flaking throughout the piece and a nice no-brainer patination. I am not sure of the material, but it is a very high and I almost want to say it is an olive green Carter Cave.
Price: $150 |

Flint Ridge Hopewells |
Size: 2 1/4" each
Provenance: Central Ohio. X: Charles "Modoc" Smith Collection. Both of these pieces are pictured in the limited auction flier from 9/18/1983. I hope you understand the importance of this provenance.
Condition: Super. A few minor nicks, but the material and the classic Hopewell forms are superior. It helps that they are no brainer authentic. I would really like to keep these as a pair, so email me for pricing and I will work with you to keep them together.
Price: $125 each or $225 for pair |
